New Documentary on Immigrant Workers

You may have seen the documentary Made in L.A., a poignant, moving chronicle of the Los Angeles Garment Worker Center's campaign against the clothing retailer Forever 21, when it aired on PBS in early September. But if you missed it, you can order a DVD from www.madeinla.com. And it's well worth doing: Made in L.A. could be one of the most important films on worker justice-and-social change you'll ever see.

By obtaining the DVD, you can organize a screening of the film at your home, your place of worship or a community center - an ideal springboard for dialogue about issues facing low-wage immigrant workers; Why not organize a public event around the film and invite a speaker from your local IWJ affiliate to discuss the issues it raises?

Proceeds from sales of the DVD go to supporting a year-long outreach campaign to bring the documentary to audiences across the country.
